Argentina occupies the southern part of the vast triangle of South America. Argentine territory is almost entirely continental and amounts to 5.700 km from North to South.

For economic, historic and cultural reasons, the great plain which occupies the central area of the country and run as far as the coast is always considered throughout the world to be symbolical of Argentina, The Pampas region.

To the North–East we have subtropical forest along the frontier with Brazil. Here you can find the Iguazú falls, an impressive spectacle. The North-West consists of mountains and high plateau, and valleys surrounded by enormous walls of stone. The very slight rainfall imparts an atmosphere of strongly contrasted colours. The Humahuaca escarpment is extremely beautiful. In the oases formed by the rivers there are still tiny villages which aspect changed very little since the seventeenth century. In the valleys, churches and jewels of religious date from Spanish Conquest are still to be found in towns such as Salta and Jujuy.

The Western frontier, running from North to South, consists of the formidable Andean Cordillera, the culminating peak of which is the Aconcagua, rising to the height of nearly 24,000 feet, in Mendoza, where you can visit wine cellars, taste our most prestigious wines and why not: buy them . To feel the Zonda blow...the Southern lakes are over 40 lakes in just 1800km as the crow flies: the difference in latitudes is equal to that between Holland and Sicily. In this southern stretch of the Cordillera are some of the most beautiful mountains in the world. Along this particular stretch of the Andes the landscape changes continuously: the wild pampas scenery turns into deciduous or evergreen forests and rivers, snow and ice fields diverge and flow to the Atlantic or to the Pacific.

Buenos Aires: the “door” to a marvellous country. Dynamic, sophisticated, irresistible; Buenos Aires is special. An original combination of the European cities’ atmosphere and the charm of Latin American towns. Fascinating, complex and extraordinary, Buenos Aires keeps on surprising us, always offering something more. Both at its height and during the periods of crisis, it appeals the visitor as an attractive metropolis. It can even become addictive, inviting us to discover it again and again and to mix among its people. A city like this, obviously, has a history; one not only recorded in documents and publications but also captured in its streets, façades, corners, monuments…
